Blonnie Brooks’s enthusiasm for photography began in an attempt to capture the fleeting moments of everyday life. These moments can seem insignificant at the time, however, they culminate in a collection of memories that continue to increase in value as time goes by. Anticipation is the key skill that has helped her create some of her most treasured photographs: the quick and graceful movement of monarch butterflies in Mexico, purple lupines underneath a rainbow in the setting sun of Iceland, swans arranging their silhouettes on the Great Masurian Lakes in Poland, the gentle rippling of the water at dusk on the Chesapeake Bay, are merely a few examples. Blonnie continues to find inspiration in the ephemeral moments of the world around her, which is undeniably reflected in her art. Blonnie has been practicing her photographic art since 2009.
