
Maryellen Winkler, a native of Wilmington, Delaware has been a lifelong lover of mysteries ever since reading her first Nancy Drew adventure. She is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a B.A. in English. She attends the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute where she conducts a poetry workshop. She has published five novels to date in the Emily Menotti Mystery series. Emily is an amateur detective who solves mysterious deaths with the aid of the paranormal.
In her first adventure, The Disappearance of Darcie Malone, Emily is drawn into an unsolved missing person’s case. She is assisted in her search by the missing person’s brother and a police detective who first investigated it thirty years ago. In her second adventure, What Killed Rosie, Emily is drawn to investigate the life of a friend who died five years ago. The next mystery, Cruising to Death, involves the disappearance of a newlywed on her honeymoon. Her fourth case, Murder on the Brandywine, concerns the suspicious death of a young girl. It includes references to historical events, places, and persons in the Brandywine River Valley that many readers will recognize.
Emily’s latest mystery, Death in Rehoboth Beach, finds Emily and her friends on vacation, renting a cottage next door to a family with multiple secrets.
