Rowan Cloud, mixed media
Rowan Cloud is an Art History and Psychology double major at Hollins University. She has experimented with many types of photography, but began embroidering over photographs in 2014. She enjoys working with film photography with colorful thread, but has also moved to digital silhouettes. Her work has been shown at the Cecil County Arts Council multiple times, and has been displayed in the Hollins University Visual Arts Center.
Stacy Doney, painting
Stacy Doney is a mixed-media artist who has lived in Cecil County since 2004. Early in life her family encouraged her love of nature and art; as an adult, she shifted her focus and studied human nature, spending fifteen years working in the field of social work. She enrolled in the Cecil College Fine Arts program three years ago and will graduate in the spring with an Associates of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting. During this final year of her coursework, she embarked on a program of self-study that involved learning as much as she could about the ecosystem around her home. On daily walks through the woods on her property she encountered an ever-changing tapestry of the diversity of life. These walks inspired her most recent works.
Stacy is a mother to two teenage daughters, two unruly cats, and wife to a guitar-wielding physicist.
Joelle Ossowski, painting, drawing, ceramics
Joelle Ossowski was born in Delaware in 1997 and raised in Elkton, Maryland. Joelle graduated from Cecil College in May 2018. She now works while dedicating free time to her passion for art. She studied Art and Design and explores different mediums, from painting to ceramics, in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms. With a love of animals and nature, she looks towards the natural world for inspiration. Recent pieces dive into the world of color and how the range of hues play together to create a further understanding of atmosphere and personality in a work of art.
Katherine Sniadowski, painting and drawing
Katherine Sniadowski was born in Newark, Delaware and lived in Elkton, Maryland until moving to Beckley, West Virginia in December 2000. She has always shown an interest in art and started taking painting lessons at the age of 9. She pursued a degree in art and graduated in 2015 with a BA in Studio Art from Berea College in Kentucky. Her most recent work focuses on the influences and surroundings of her daily life as well as new encounters with structures and nature that inspire her to paint. Although the majority of her work is done in watercolor paint and pencil, she has experimented with printmaking.
