Make a Mosaic Vase / Candle Holder!
Thursday November 30th from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Class will be held at 120 E. Main Street in beautiful downtown historic Elkton, Md. at The Palette & The Page.
These are nice gifts for the holidays; and I can show you how to make one or two! In this class you will learn all the basics of creating a mosaic; how to design a project, cut the glass and glue it down! Make either one large vase or two small candle holders. $45 covers everything.
About the instructor: Joanne Gelles discovered Mosaics about 12 years ago and has been busy creating mosaics ever since. She studied mosaics with several well-known mosaic artists; Kasia Polkowska (Gaithersburg, Md); Laura Rendlen & Bonnie Fitzgerald of Maverick Mosaics Art School in Virginia, and with Jen Wagner in Easton, Md.
She has worked on 2 mosaic murals for the Caroline County Council of Arts; taught mosaics to Lockerman Middle School students and adults at the Caroline Council of Arts in Denton, Md.
Her mosaics have been shown and sold at the Local Port of Art in St. Michaels, Md and at the Foundry Art Gallery in Denton, Md
